MMA’S
Fast-cure resins for quick turnaround and minimal down time
MMA’s are fast-cure resins, making them an ideal choice for areas where quick turnaround times are needed and disruption kept as minimal as possible.
The surface can be installed quickly and is typically
trafficable within 2 hours.
Smooth and textured finished can be created, and also bespoke designs or corporate branding incorporated into the surface.
MMA’s have high tolerances to many aspects of harsh industrial environments with high resistance to impacts, abrasion, loads and temperature.
APPLICATIONS
- Food production areas
- Industrial kitchens
- Warehousing and packing
- Pharmaceutical
- Distribution centres
- Car parks
- Factories
- Marine
PRODUCTS FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Quick installation
These systems require primer coat, bodycoat and sealer coats. Epoxies and polyurethanes normally require 4-8 hours to cure between coats. MMA’s only need 1 Hour between coats , thus rapidly speeding up the application process.
Cure times
Both physical and chemical curing takes time with standard epoxies and Polyurethanes with physical curing from anywhere between 4-48hours and chemical curing which can be to 7 days. Both the physical and chemical curing of MMA takes just two hours
Installation at cold temperatures
Standard epoxies and Polyurethanes should not be laid below 5 °C, and ideally need to be laid at room temperature, as temperature has a major effect on the curing of these systems, too hot they will cure very quickly but too cold and the product may not cure at all.
The beauty of MMA is the resin can be applied down to -30°C with no affect on the speed of cure.
Chemical bonding
MMA resins achieve a chemical bond between each installation layer, resulting in a monolithic finish. Each application chemically fuses to the previous layer
Epoxy and polyurethane resins achieve only a mechanical bond between installation layers.
Tailored to your needs
Flakes, quartz aggregates or glitters can be combined to make a highly decorative/ anti-slip finish
INSTALLATION METHOD
PREPARATION – The floor is typically prepared using a scabbler or diamond grinder
INSTALLATION – Depending upon the type of MMA product installed the product is hand mixed and applied using either trowel, wire rake and spike roller with the desired flake or quartz.
