A closer look at Coatech

Coatech is a specialist contractor and applicator of all types of resin floor and wall surfacing. We have been installing specialised resin systems nationwide, internally and externally since 1987.

We undertake a wide variety of projects of all sizes within domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors and across a wide scope of industries. We are approved applicators of the majority of the UK’s renowned industry systems. As such we offer our customers one of the broadest choices of products to suit their surfacing requirements and budget, and a comprehensive ‘one-stop-shop’ for their flooring needs.

With our 50 + years of industry experience and technical knowledge, we are best placed to advise on any aspect of resin surfacing. We work closely with all our clients from specification to project completion and our team of highly skilled operatives will ensure your complete satisfaction with the end result and throughout the project.

What products do we use? 

Water based and solvent free systems.

We use natural aggregates and other recyclable materials.

By choosing a resin floor, the sheer longevity of systems when installed means across the floors life cycle, both cost and environmental impact is low.

Many of the systems we retail have sustainable features that can help construction projects achieve excellent BREEAM ratings for sustainable construction waste.

Packaging? 

Wherever possible materials are supplied to us in reusable IBC’s (Intermediate Bulk Containers) and recyclable drums. Not only are these recyclable but as these are supplied in bulk, we are able to cut down our carbon footprint and eliminate waste.

Waste? 

Coatech has a waste carriers licence. We use a licensed waste disposal company to dispose and recycle our waste, and ensure compliance with regulations. Please click to find a link to a copy of our current Waste Carriers licence.

We monitor our waste streams and volumes produced so that we can set benchmarks to reduce amounts of waste sent to landfill. We recycle wherever possible, whether this be on site, or at our offices.

Training? 

The company has a designated manager who is qualified in NEBOSH Environmental Management to oversee operations throughout the business and promote environmental initiatives across the company.

All our site staff are formally trained in ‘Environmental Principles and Best Practice’ covering issues such as Waste Management and Environmental law.

Management? 

We aim to develop and implement a formally accredited Environmental Management System that will further outline our commitment to our goal of minimising our environmental impact. Our systems were recently accredited to Phase 2 of BS8555 Environmental Management Standard.

1. We are both CHAS and Safecontractor approved.

2. Fully insured and backed by manufacturer guarantees.

3. We have all our own specialist plants and preparatory machines, and so are completely self sufficient.

Our Staff

1. We invest in the continual training and development of our workforce.

2. Our supervisory and managerial staff have undertaken specialist training on 100% of our site. The workforce is CSCS carded and First Aid trained.

 Health, Safety, Environment, Quality 

1. Comprehensive Risk management procedures and ‘Safe Systems of Work’ in place.

2. Extensive experience working on sites of all sizes and industries and for Principal Contractors.

3. We hold a Waste Carriers Licence and have Environmental and Sustainability Policies and Procedures in place Substrate preparation always carried out (often overlooked by others) which is essential to a quality, longstanding final finish.
