HAND-LAID SBR POLYMER SCREEDS

Hand-laid SBR screeds are typically laid on small projects that require the floor to be enveloped or sloped to accommodate drainage. While these systems take longer to install than pumped screeds as they are laid by hand, the formulation cures very quickly

PUMPED SCREEDS

When minimal downtime is essential, using a pumped screed is the best way to install your floor. Pumped screeds are appropriate for busy production areas because they can be installed during short shutdown periods

Quick Curing

Curing times for polymer screeds are considerably quicker than for standard concrete; surfaces can be overlaid in a matter of days instead of weeks, and downtime is minimised

High Performance

These screeds offer considerable advantages over concrete, including minimal shrinkage, less risk of cracking, improved flexibility, greater strength and better impact, abrasion and frost resistance. For thinner, bonded screeds, performance is significantly improved

INSTALLATION

The surface is prepared via scabbling or diamond grinding to achieve the necessary key for installation. The dust is removed using an industrial vacuum and any surface repairs are carried out. The surface is then primed. For hand-laid SBR polymer screeds, a crete angle mixer is used to blend the formulation prior to application. A screed pump is used for larger, open areas. The screed is laid to the desired thickness and left to cure
