Self-smoothing epoxies and polyurethanes create an even and seamless floor finish. This durable, hygienic and easy-to-clean product is used extensively in a variety of market sectors. Its high gloss finish and light-reflective properties reduce the need for artificial lighting and create a feeling of spaciousness
If required, aggregates can be incorporated to create an anti-slip finish. This method is widely used to demarcate walkways, pathways and traffic zones
Self-smoothers offer good impact, abrasion and chemical resistance
This product can be specified appropriately for light to medium usage
Due to their seamless application, self-smoothing systems are easy-to-clean and resistant to the harbouring of bacteria
Large areas can be installed in a day, which reduces downtime and allows the area to be serviceable relatively quickly
The high gloss, reflective finish enhances the natural light within the room
The floor is initially prepared by diamond grinding or shot blasting. Then, depending on the quality of the substrate and whether a DPM exists, it will be primed. The formulation is then hand mixed. It is applied by a trowel, squeegee or pin rake. A spike roller removes any air bubbles to leave a flawless finish
