National Apprenticeship Week

Monday marked the beginning of National Apprenticeship week 2023 #NAW2023. Here at Coatech we want to take this opportunity to shine a light on the importance and value of apprenticeships to us as a company, as a trade and the wider construction industry.

As a specialist trade, it is so important to offer apprenticeship opportunities to young people; the future of our industry.

The Resin Flooring Association, FeRFA, has been successfully running apprenticeship schemes since 2006, enabling employees to gain an industry-wide recognised qualification in Resin Flooring.

Their two-year NVQL2 qualification is a Specialist Apprenticeship Programme delivered in partnership between FeRFA, the Construction Industry Training Board CITB and the Resin Flooring industry. Coatech are a FeRFA Apprentice Ambassador, demonstrating our commitment to training and qualifying our employees and upskilling our workforce though apprenticeships.

This #throwbackthursday post is dedicated to Danny who completed his FeRFA apprenticeship many years ago. In 2018, Danny was awarded ‘Apprentice of the Year’ by our local CITB Construction Training Group. Fast forward to 2023 Danny is still working in the industry using the skills he learnt from his NVQ and now passing them onto others in the industry who are just starting out on their journey.
