Coatech were asked through Dawnus Construction to provide a porous and decorative Resin Bound System to 8 tree-pits in a pedestrianised area of Rhyl Town Centre for the local Council
The Council was finding that the bark mulch currently in place was not only messy, but needed to be continually replaced and maintained. Also, the sunken bark posed a trip hazard as it created a ‘lip’ which a member of the public could trip over
Coatech replaced the bark with Resin Bound Stone in a 10mm Corn Flint aggregate, laid to a thickness of 50mm. A glass bead scatter was added to the final finish to enhance anti-slip
This provided the Council with a system that is not only fully compliant with S.U.D.S drainage regulations, but also an attractive, decorative finish, that really stands out
